I used this book to familiarize myself with bulk carriers as part of my job as a draft surveyor.Not having previous experience as a seafarer, I searched for something along the lines of a detailed manual on bulk carrier practice so could better understand my job and to study the way bulk cargoes are handled at load and discharge ports.I'm glad I found this book. Bulk Carrier Practice is an excellent read on the subject and one I kept referring to often during my time doing surveys for iron and manganese ore and scrap metal.
